Michelle was always frustrated by the lack of quality ingredients in store-bought snacks, and longing for something delicious and wholesome. Her passion for creating desserts with natural ingredients led her to experiment in her tiny LA apartment kitchen in 2021. After a ton of trial and error, and with her boyfriend (now fiance) Alex and his roommate as her taste testers, she crafted something special - a dark chocolate bar with a sweet center made from locally grown Medjool dates.
Encouraged by friends and joined by Alex, the two dove into the world of chocolate, embracing a philosophy of real foods, no additives, and ethical sourcing. Today, they're proud chocolatiers dedicated to making indulgent treats that are as good for you as they are delicious! Mild addictions is about balance, especially with indulgences. Our name is a playful nod to this philosophy, with our commitment to creating desserts that satisfy cravings while providing real nutritional benefits.
Our journey from a home kitchen to just about 100 stores has been awesome. Now, we've moved up to Ojai, CA, and are making chocolates in nearby Ventura. Stay tuned for new and exciting creations from us!
